Have you ever wondered about faith? Or maybe you used to go to church regularly but then life got busy, now you wonder what it was all about. Or you have seen the leaflets about Alpha and just thought its too late for you now. Well think again.
Senior Alpha is for anyone of the older generation who would like the opportunity to explore faith issues. You can ask anything - Alpha is the place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
What happens?
We start at 2:30pm with a time to eat cake and chat together.
Then there is a relevant short talk using a express DVD with a large print manual.
Then there is time to discuss the topic with those on your table.
We have learned to listen patiently to long standing and often deeply rooted experience and appreciated the legacies that many elderly carry as a result of how church was in the society and culture in which these folk grew up.
The great news is that the elderly do want to listen, share and know about faith and that the Holy Spirit is a gentle, loving motivator in the process of renewal and growth.
